Feed Your Curiosity

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ARE THERE ANY STEPS TO LEARN?

Nope. There are none, and no way to do it wrong. The guidance that's offered is designed to get you more in touch with the moment, where the music calls forth your authentic movement.

WHAT KIND OF MUSIC IS PLAYED?

All kinds! From ethereal ambient to bumping beats, from classical-electronic fusion to hip-hop, from tribal to jazzy, you can expect eclectic ecstasy (now say that four times fast, to get your tongue dancing).

WHAT SHALL I BRING?

  • A water bottle, dance shoes or your bare feet, layers of clothing, and a meditation cushion if you have one. Most importantly, bring your Open Mind/Heart. (Organic snacks and chocolate will be provided.)

  • For daylongs workshops, you will also want to bring lunch and a journal if you have one.

  • For sliding-scale events, please contribute at the highest level you are able, to support the attendance of those needing to pay less. (Work exchange and need-based scholarships allow for entry regardless of ability to pay. Please email openflooralchemy@gmail.com by the Friday [1 week] before the event if interested.)
